Profile: Fabiana Silva

RETIRO RETRATOS is the result of a 6-days hackathon aimed at creating a web documentary. Hosted at the Oswald de Andrade Cultural Workshop and produced by CRUA Studio, Marcia Mansur and Marina Thomé selected 20 participants with diverse backgrounds and skills for documenting the Bom Retiro neighborhood. The project involved interviews, meetings, research, image coverage, agenda surveys, creation of visual identity, editing, and communication, all within a constantly flexible team to ensure the completion of the entire process within a week. Fabiana Silva is one of these fantastic characters at Bom Retiro and shared her incredible story at TEDx.

During the interview with one of the field teams, we met Fabiana da Silva, a recyclable material picker and one of the workers who had her vehicle customized in the Pimp My Carroça project. I was one of the responsible for the making-of, and after the series of photos, I also followed the recording and took care of recording the process of the overall team. The video below is the edited version made for the project's promotion, gathering these images.
